Mary Matha College – Admission :

Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara – Founder of CMI Congregation

Mary Matha College managed by CMI Fathers and we are trying to impart quality education to the students. We have at present 17 UG Courses, 3 PG Courses & 2 Research Programmes and all the courses are approved by and are affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University.

This College is in the scenic beauty of Kodaikanal valley, against the green background of Western Ghats, on the Dindigul – Theni highway, 6 Km away from Periyakulam.

We have good infrastructure  including  fully furnished hostel ( can accommodate around 200 ) for boys, and separate hostel for girls,   managed by CMI Fathers.

 

UG Courses :-

Course Major Eligibility
B.A. English Pass in Plus 2 (Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination) approved by Madurai Kamaraj University.
B.A. Economics Pass in Plus 2 (Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination) approved by Madurai Kamaraj University.
B.Sc. Maths Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Govt. of Tamil Nadu or any other Examinations accepted by the syndicate, as equivalent thereto, with Mathematics as one of the subjects in Higher Secondary Education.
B.Sc. Physics A pass in + 2 examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Govt. of Tamil Nadu with Physics & Mathematics OR any other examination accepted by the syndicate, as equivalents thereto are eligible to join this course.
B.Sc. Biotechnology Pass in Plus 2 (Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination) approved by Madurai Kamaraj University with Biology as one of the subjects.
B.Sc. Microbiology Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Govt. of Tamil Nadu or any other Examinations accepted by the syndicate, as equivalent thereto,

  • Biology / Physics / Chemistry as subjects in the Higher Secondary Education.
  • Candidates should have secured atleast 60% in the above subjects and above in the aggregate.
  • A relaxation of 10% marks in the aggregate will be given to SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates sponsored by the Industrial/Hospitals/Clinical laboratories may also be be considered for admissions.
B.Sc. Chemistry Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Govt. of Tamil Nadu or any other Examinations accepted by the syndicate, as equivalent thereto,

  • Biology / Physics / Chemistry as subjects in the Higher Secondary Education.
  • Candidates should have secured atleast 60% in the above subjects and above in the aggregate.

B.Sc. Hotel Management A candidate for admission to B.Sc., Hotel Management and Catering Science shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an Examination accepted as equivalent there to by the M.K.University with a minimum of 35% of marks in Aggregate.
B.Sc. Computer Science Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Govt. of      Tamil Nadu or any other Examinations accepted by the syndicate, as equivalent thereto, with Mathematics / Computer Science as one of the subjects.

 Candidates seeking admission to B.Com. with e-Commerce & B.Com with Computer Applications (Semester) Degree Course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Tamil Nadu (or) any other Examinations accepted as equivalent by the syndicate of Madurai Kamaraj University
B.B.A. Business Administration Candidates seeking admission to B.B.A. Degree Course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (should have studied Commerce and Accountancy in HSC, 20% Reserved for vocational stream) of the Government of Tamil Nadu or any other Examination recognized by the syndicate of the Madurai Kamaraj University as its equivalent.

B.Sc. Forensic Science & Criminology Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc.Forensic Science & Criminology Degree Course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (should have studied  Science in HSC) of the Government of Tamil Nadu or any other Examination recognized by the syndicate of the Madurai Kamaraj University as its equivalent.

M.Com. Computer Applications Candidates seeking admission to M.Com (CA) Course should have passed with a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Management, Corporate Secretary ship, BCom (C.A) and B.C.A of Madurai Kamaraj University or any other Institution  / Examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate of the Madurai Kamaraj University
M.A. English Candidates seeking admission to MA English should pass in any degree with English as language under part I / II / III.
M.Sc. Mathematics Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc Mathematics should pass in B.Sc Mathematics or B.Sc Mathematics (CA)
