1994: JCC – Jayaraj Chelladurai College officially started by the Philanthropist namely, Mr. Jayaraj Chelladurai.
2001-2002: Permanent affiliation was granted to the then existing UG Courses.
2003-2004: The College applied for the status of Co-Education.
2007-2009: Dr. Kurian Abraham took over as the correspondent.
2009: St. Joseph’s Province Kottayam of the CMI congregation purchased the college in the year 2009 and thus theoretically MMC also started in the same year.
2009: This College is owned and managed by CMI Fathers under Bodhi Niketan Trust from April 2009 and this is the 13th year under the CMI Management.
2009: On 28th April 2009, Fr. Issac Puchamkulam, CMI assumed office of the Principal of JC College, Marking the beginning of the CMI management.
2012 – 2013: The Process of name change from JCC to MMC was completed with the consent of the Department of Collegiate Education Chennai and the affiliating Madurai Kamaraj University. Thus JCC became MMC.
2016: Chavara Block was inaugurated as the Main Block of the MMC College with administrative and academic facilities.
2018: St. Joseph’s Block was inaugurated partially with a conglomeration of Lab facilities, Mini Halls, Boys Hostel, and so on.
2020: MMC has secured an MOU for exchange programme with St. Thomas University, Minnesota, USA.
